The Green Youth of Hesse /Germany (Grüne Jugend Hessen) declares its solidarity with the students of Iran.
The Green Youth of Hesse is stunned and appalled by the use of force against the peacefully protesting people In Iran. The Green Youth of Hesse tributes the fight of the people for their democratic rights even thou they are suffering from strong reprisals. The Green Youth of Hesse is representing the interests of young democrats and there for specially declares its solidarity to the students of Iran.
Angela Dorn spokesperson of the Green Youth of Hesse, says: "We as young democrats strongly sympathize with all protesting students of Iran. The reprisals and the abuse of the Iranian students are represented insufficiently by the media of the west."
Dorn further describes the difficulty from the point of view of the german youth: "It is hardly possible to receive confirmed Information, but the references from the media and the internet (e.g Twitter) make us feel miserable, appalled and angry. We hear from assaults upon dormitories in Teheran in the early morning. During these attacks students got killed and displaced. It is unacceptable, that the ministry of interior tolerates a regime friendly militia, who displaces and kills students from their dorms, while being asleep. As a consequence the ministry of interior bears responsibility for these crimes. Furthermore, we receive unconfirmed information about 2 people being killed at attacks to their dorms at the university oh Shiraz."
"We feel helpless in Germany, but we feel for our fellow students in Iran". Dorn claims: "We call upon the Iranian regime to maintain the human rights immediately including right to life, physical integrity and freedom of opinion. We ask the German government and the European Commission to stop watching the tremendous violence. Both, German government and European Commission have the duty to condemn the use of force and to insist on the compliance of the human rights. Furthermore should both call a spade a spade. There has been a voter fraud in Iran. Therefore Ahmadinejad should not be accepted as the President of the Iranian people."
